Monday evenings from 18h00 to 20h00 (2 hours)

 

This class teaches your teen the foundational artistic techniques needed for art at school that teachers do not have time for with their full classes and busy school schedules.

On top of that, this class is fun and relaxing, while helping your teen to focus better and build their confidence.

Few things build confidence better than mastering a skill you never thought you had in you.

In this class the focus is on foundational techniques of realistic drawing with pencil and charcoal,

foundational techniques of portrait and figure drawing (no nudes ever in this class),

shading techniques in colour with oil based colour pencils and pastels,

foundational techniques of watercolour painting with traditional watercolour paint and watercolour pencils,

and foundational techniques of acrylic painting.

During school exam times, we have fun with simple cartoon drawings, mandalas, zen-tangle patterns or manga drawings.

These simple creative exercises still work on your teen’s artistic skills,

while allowing them the energy and helping them to relax and focus better for studying and writing exams at school.

Students progress at their own pace so that we don’t add to school stress.

Pressure to perform is also counter-productive to creating art, especially for beginners who lack creative confidence.

Right Edge Art understands that life is busy and your child may not be able to attend classes every week.

Attendance options and fees:

One  class  at R450.

Two classes per month at R900 per month.

Three classes per month at R1300 per month.

Four classes per month at R1620 per month.

There is no cut off date for enrollment for this class. You can enroll your teen at any time. 

If you want to bring your teen to only one class, no enrollment is needed. You just need to arrange your class with me in advance.

No walk-ins, please.

One, two, three and four classes per month requires of you to enroll to secure your teen’s place and arrange your preferred dates with me at the beginning of each month. 

All fees are paid in advance and include art materials available in class.
